New Product Announcements

We want to publish your new product announcements. In order for us to do so, your material must include the following:

• New product information (please don’t send us releases on old products)
• Reader contact information
• Pricing and availability
• Artwork, if available

Material can be sent in either print or email form.

Contributed Features

We are always looking for excellent contributed feature articles. If you would like to contribute a feature, please first discuss your idea with the appropriate editor and/or send them an abstract or outline of your proposed article. Then follow the guidelines below to ensure that your article will meet our format:

• Ideally the article will help design engineers select products by discussing device features and specifications, technological developments, and/or industry trends. The article must be about the technology - not about a product from your company.
• Use block diagrams rather than complex schematics. Your diagram will be ~2.5 inches wide in the magazine, so text sizes must be appropriately large.
• Stay concise—1200 words or less. Articles can be as short as 400 words.
• In the later stages on an article, feel free to briefly cite specific products and part numbers as real-world examples of the technology being discussed, but please leave out marketing words and discussions on your company’s specific products.
• Include artwork!  Images must be high-res 300 dpi (at a ~4 x 5 inch size) with JPG format preferred.
• Include the author’s name, title, and city location.

The article deadlines for print versions is approximately one month + 5 days before the first day of the issue month. For example, an article for the June issue would be due April 25th.
Submit the completed manuscript in electronic form via email to the appropriate editor. It is preferred that the file be in Microsoft Word format. Include the authors name, and title and the correct company name.

Artwork

Please always include images (electronic format preferred) and/or diagrams that complement the text.

• For feature articles, select a representative photograph or illustration that can be used to introduce the subject matter on the first page.
• Electronic images must be high resolution - that is, at least 300 dpi or more at the approximate size that the image will be used in the magazine.
• Please supply hard-copy versions of all illustrations.
